Antique Victorian Aksel Holmsen Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Lake Scene Pin

Antique Victorian Aksel Holmsen Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Lake Scene Pin. This lovely antique Victorian Sterling silver guilloche enamel pin was made in the 1900s by Norwegian artist silversmith, Aksel Holmsen. Prior to opening his own workshop, Holmsen studied for several years in the Oslo workshop of the famous silversmith, David Andersen. Holmsen's pin depicts a beautiful lake scene in black enamel, showing a lady sitting under the trees by the edge of the lake with two swans swimming next to her. The background is a gorgeous basse-taille design, which gives the translucent pink and blue colors depth and iridescence.

The pin is signed 925S STERLING MADE IN NORWAY on the back. This pretty Sterling silver guilloche enamel Aksel Holmsen Victorian pin is a wonderful addition to any Scandinavian or antique jewelry collection. Marks: 925S STERLING MADE IN NORWAY.

Color: Silver, pink, blue, black. Dimensions: ½" L X 1 ½" W.
